A letter came this week from an old friend, originally from Buffalo, but who has been in Ulm these several years now. He likes The Mousetrap, and suggests that it would make an interesting ballet. Hadn’t thought of it like that; although the ‘physicality’ of the music did sustain us performers through a piece which, to be fair, is a demanding (not to say unrelenting) duet.
I like the idea of The Mousetrap being danced to. Wonder what ideas the choreographer is entertaining . . . .
