This morning, I finished marking the last of the six handbell parts for Lord of the Dance. Also, I made some progress on the violin and handbell piece, In the shadow of the kindly Star. Realistically, that is probably about as much work as I had expected to be able to lay in on this trip; my role having been primarily as amanuensis to two artists with their easels, and plenty of beautiful autumnal views to choose from.

There's not nearly enough good music for handbells, or so it seems. I miss ringing!
Had I mentioned my piece for shakuhachi and handbells?
You may have mentioned said piece, but I had forgotten. Could one substitute Native American flute for shakuhachi?
I shall want your ruling on that question. Shall I send you the score?
The range is a little wide for most Native American flutes, but it would go fine on tenor recorder--or on an old bamboo flute of mine...
