Never Noticed

. . . when watching The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, in one of the “Jet Fuel Formula” episodes, when Rocky & Bullwinkle are aboard the moon men’s ship, Rocky is reading from a Rocket Cook Book, and one of the moon men . . . it might be Gidney, or then, too, it might be Cloyd . . . no, it turns out it was Gidney . . . pulls the book Earth from a shelf (to ascertain where on the planet mooseberries may be found).

Another volume on that shelf bears the title Sex on Planet “X” on its spine.

Now, I don’t think I could have noticed that when I was a wee lad. But I might have, and it wouldn’t have signified aught to me, I suppose . . . .

And how did THAT get past the censors back in the good ol' days, when there were censors?
